Hey, anyone know what time this starts and ends? It's on Saturday at Gwanghwamun exit 2 apparently, only 1000W. |

Christ, trying to get info on this event is like pulling teeth - without anaesthetic...
Anyhow, here's what I found, as I plan to go tomorrow evening...
It is called the 2007 Jazz Summit, and is being held at the KT Art Centre, near Exit 2, Kwangwhamun Station on Line 5... it goes until the end of October (Oct. 31st) and features various solo artists and groups every evening.
Tix are 1000 won, and can be had from Ticketlink (presumably on-line), or you can "call 1588-7890 for more info..."; actually tried this number, and they didn't have a clue what I was on about... this number is ONLY for tickets; no concert info...!
OK, update...finally got some info via a nice lady at the Seoul City Hall English Office (phone 02-120, ext #9 [cell phone]; drop the 02 if land line)
This is apparently sponsored by KT, and the info is on their website (Korean only, natch...) at: www.ktarthall.com
There is basically ONE show a day until the end of the month; tonight it starts at 7:30 pm and goes to 9:00 pm, and features Jong Yong-gun and vocalist Choi (sp?) Song. And yes, tix are only 1000 won!
All other info (performers, times, etc.) are on the website, so I hope your Korean's up to par or you have friends who can help... |
