so i had my dad send me a halloween costume and customs opened it and took it. left no notice- just sent the package half sealed with some mail in from him. wtf???? can they just take and not say anything about it? its a halloween costume- not a threat to f-in korean life.
is there any way to find out if they have it and get it back??? |

Depends what kind of costume it is. I've had DVDs confiscated for being detrimental to Korea (the original Japanese Ring trilogy... deemed too graphic for Korean sensibilities they said)

The obvious answer is of course to call Customs and ask. |

Next time, put a Korean name on the package and not your own, and you'll have no problems. |

Yup... can't have foreigners 'getting in on the action' unless they invest W50,000,000 in a double barber pole. |

Maybe they set the dogs on it? Maybe it was crawling with yeast? |

Halloween costumes can be used for robbing banks. And they are already aware at foreigner frustrations at not being allowed mnay bank priviliges (including but not limited to: controlling your own money). It's preemption at work here. |

Yeah, Korea has rules again "sex toys". The rules are ostensibly there to protect youths.
A blogger has reprinted a Korean customs page regarding the things that were banned, including something called a "goblin condom". Whatever the hell that is. The english is massively bad and the government page was taken down. Probably because they were getting so many hits for it and realized it was silly.

Evil grossness: Some Korean customs guy is probably masturbating with your petticoat right now. |

Because it is a meat product, it may have been because of how it was packaged. My dad has a vacuum-sealer, so all the venison sausage and pepperettes he sends are sealed like space food. No problems. Before the vacuum sealed care packages, they regularly took stuff cling-wrapped and in baggies. |

Somewhere out there, a luscious, beefy customs adjossi is frolicking in his new german peasant dress.
If that doesn't warm the cackles of your heart, I don't know what will. |

Does anyone know the website for a list of things that Korean customs guys will take? I've been looking, but I can't seem to find one. |
