|
|
I met a girl in a club in another city a few weekends ago. Anyhow, we arranged to meet in my city this weekend as she was going past it. She's smart, really pretty and has great English. The problem is that all of the girls I've met before in Korea I've never liked - or realised the potential in - them.
I think we had a good time this weekend, and I think she enjoyed it too. But I find it difficult to keep cool or know what to do when I find a girl I really like. I find it easy to do if I'm not that interested in the girl. Anyone else have this problem?

Act suave, play it cool, don't come across as being desperate?
Difficult to do I guess when you are enamored by the vixen, but maybe try to play interested yet still hard to get?
Is that not the key of attraction, make the person like you more than you like them? |

Nice points...and I was really cool when we were dating this weekend. She knew I was interested but I was very laid back as to if/when we'd meet again etc. But when I woke up today, I kinda missed her not being around. That hasn't happened to me in a very long time.
It's not often I meet pretty, smart girls with great English in Korea so I hope I don't let her slip away.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If she likes you she likes you. Just be nice and be funny. people like to be teased, maybe do that. Anyway don't worry about it, it will come together. |

Yeah, teasing is good. I guess my problem is that, in person, I can do all that very well. But then when I go back home... |

Best advice I can give you is to act interested, yet still play it cool.
How good is her English? How much does she know about Western culture? Does she like Western music/films?
This is key to know her "think".
Anyway, good luck. Answer my questions, and I will let you know what I think about her. Seriously. I have been here and in Asia long enough to know how to read these birds. |

Her English is VERY good - as good as any Korean I've ever met. We also have similar tastes in music/tv shows etc. So, she likes Western music/films very much, and has visited Western countries.

Her English is VERY good - as good as any Korean I've ever met. We also have similar tastes in music/tv shows etc (such as Britpop/indie culture). So, she likes Western music/films very much, and has visited the likes of England and Canada before. As manager at a hagwon, she works with many foreigners on a day-to-day basis. |
There you go then - just whoo her without acting desperate, yet call the shots.
Tell her (don't ask) that you want to take her out to a movie, then Outback Steakhouse. She will like that, as costly as it may be.
Anyway, my advice is moot - all ladies are different, the key is not to act desperate, yet still interested I think.
Good luck, and keep me updated nonetheless. I'm off to watch my Fulcio DVDs - nothing beats a woman puking up her intestines on screen I guess. |

Yikes, the Dave's *beep*-mongerers and virgins are giving advice! Run.
Just kidding!
Seriously though, you know what you must do. Don't screw it up.
And tell her she has nice ears ... and an excellent head to body ratio. |

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you, but just in case...
In my experience (not much to talk about, but there ya go), women appreciate it when the guy behaves in a gentlemanly fashion. You don't have to be Sir Walter Raleigh or anything - just be nice. |

I've tried to be nice all my life. Sadly, I've found - through experience - that women like a bit more than being with someone who is "nice". But being nice - along with a bit of teasing/playing around - has gotten me this far, so hopefully it can take me further. |

You don't need our help Butlerian - keep on using your scouse wit and charm, don't kiss her ass or agree with everything she says or does - women sometimes throw little challenges down to see how you react nd you are to pass them if the realtionship is to go further. Not that I tink you'll have a problem with this by the way, I think you have a lot of things going for you that you would have to mess up big to mess it up at all.
Was the hair post you made the other day down to meeting this girl?
bloody hell, what woul your 'al feller' say if he saw that post? Be yourself and don't be a kiss ass, good advice by Wo by the way! Good job mate! |

A lot of blokes mistake 'being nice' with being spineless, women don't love bad boys or bastards, what they like is that these guys voice their own opinions - they don't like the other crap that comes with a bastard like the cheating or the violence or whatever.
All you have do is don't agree with everything she says and take the piss out of her if she says something daft, if she feigns anger/annoyance tell
her she'll get over it and laugh at her.
Also don't hold any grudges! |
