But what will happen when we run out of ducks? What are the alternatives?

Peking is not the preferred nomenclature.

English speakers use the Mandarin pronunciation, not the Francophone dictated archaic Cantonese. Cool

Canada! There is this duck paradise called Canada! Well, okay, they're not ducks per say. They're Canadian geese. But they taste just like a duck. The Canada Geese sands have proven reserves of 270 billion blue plate specials. This is equal to the duck reserves of China and Kuwait.

Plus you don't have the political problems with getting Ducks from Canada as you do from certain other places.

This is true. I wish America could grasp that Canada is one of the last politically stable providers of duck-like meats in the world. We get no respect.

And what happens when these great reserves are finally tapped into? Suddenly we'll get a swarms of duck-rich Canadians splashing their money all over the place. Country yokels from some backward corner of the planet, suddenly nouveau riche and swanning about the place as you please. Soon you wont be able to get through the door at Harrods because of them. Yeah, and every fall they swarm across the border--without passports--create noise pollution with all that squawking and freeload off the hardworking Iowa/Nebraska farmers along the Missouri River by eating up the grain that should be going to American ducks. Buncha wetbacks!

Yeah I've heard it before. Americans don't want to share their parks with them. They're "dirty". There should be parks only for American...humans. Didn't they try that in, oh, HITLER'S GERMANY AND SOUTH AFRICA?

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the problems of duck emissions. Truly a noxious gas that has the potential to alter our environment.

It's a zero sum gain. Either you deny your future generations Peking duck or you deny them a stable environment.
