Posted: Thu Oct 11, 2007 1:22 am Post subject: Reinstalled windows xp... but no sound! |

My computer crashed so i reinstalled xp and managed to wipe the hard drive somehow. anyways...i am in the process of putting everything back together but i have no sound! It says there is no audio device when i acess sounds from the control panel. little help please! |

Go to www.windowsupdate.com and click on the "scan for update button" or something similar. Pick the things you want to update and download it. That should do the trick. |

Is your sound card built into the motherboard? Load the drivers off the mobo CD and you will be fine. |

your sound driver is MIA. If you ahve a third party sound card, go to the respective site and donwload the driver. If the sound is on the motherboard, then download the drivers for hte motherboard. |
