I don't have one and I didn't think I'd ever want one. That was until I played with one at the Apple Store (or rather A#) in Coex. Pretty cool gadget. Apple has gone way beyond with this thing.

had a fiddle at Coex. Although im a fan I can justify the price. I thought it was larger and it heavier that I expected. The internet was also really slow...

Apart from that it worked perfectly under my finger especially the browsing and typing. I might consider it when Apple decides to introduce some more apps.

Apparently people are already putting mail etc on it now.

I bought mine a few days ago here in Canada. Couldn't resist after taking a look at it in the apple store. Now that i've been using it, i'd say it was worth it, but i'm very wary of its durability.

Yeah, it's been "jailbroken", but through a bit of a weak hack, so it may be restarted on the next hack, who knows, apple is starting to show their true colors with this product, and, if it weren't for it's design, I probably wouldn't have bought it (i.e., apple are finally being MS'ish jerks).

For the Eye: don't worry about the durability; all tests indicate that those screens are ridiculously sturdy.

Yay! My ipod made it through customs; I've been fiddling around between class. The internet is really fast. Youtube takes a bit to load, but after that, it's faster than the computer in some cases. Have yet to use the music store, but will do so when I get a tad bit more time.

Have they improved the sound quality? I have the 30gb video and I was disappointed by the sound. The EQ presets are all rubbish and the bass output is too low. I have a cheap Korean 512mb MP3 player that definitely trumps the Ipod in terms of sound quality.

Bit of a tangent, but I bought the new 4gig nano. A great buy, sound quality is really good.

My Korean friend just bought one and I spent some time going over it with him at my place - he has neither a computer at home,, nor knew about iTunes.....Anyway - I created a second library for him on my computer (as I have a 5th generation iPod) and moved songs, videos over. Discovered there is no keyboard imput available for hangeul on the iPod Touch...

Question: How does the Hi-Fi/YouTube thing work in Korea...especially before someone said about 'loading YouTube'....?? Any other functions with this that I might need to talk about with my friend (in Korean...)...he seems a little bemused by the product he so readily bought...

I'm kind of surprised...did you reset the language options to Korean?

Also, while the regular internet browser is fairly fast (for a handheld, considering it's loading real graphics), for the native apps like Youtube and the music store, you have to give them a sec to load, once they do though, no probs.

Oh man,

The ipod touch is pretty awesome. I'm going on year now with my 30gb video ipod. My only complaint is the battery life. I knew I could download whole movies onto this thing, but there's not enough juice to finish a complete movie.

It looks like the touch has a bigger screen, which means more juice requirements. I wonder if the battery is any better....

There should be a iPod Touch Thread in the Technology Forum.
