Uh, so if they're illegal, why are they still teaching? This doesn't make sense. They collected all this information? How?

I want to know this too. Shouldn't it be "106 teachers without BAs were fired" or something of that nature?

It is probably 106 since they started the Native Teacher program. There is nothing in the article that gives a particular time frame. 106 fake degrees at 106 different schools all at the same time is just too much. However, if you spread that 106 fake teachers over a period of 5+ years, then it makes sense. Especially if someone with a fake degree at one school gets caught/fired and he goes to a new town and applies at a different school.

This is completely junk maybe pkang0202 is right and it is from the beginning of the program!
I havent posted in a while but this one is over the top!
I was at the Epik training program when this guy came in to take pictures! said he was with BOD. Many teachers willingly smiled !! This was crap totally, he was faking it and when it hit the Korean newspaper I saw this title 106 foreigners etc. with pictures of some of my friends and a couple of them have Masters and some had been with epik for years.
I think the whole thing is completely made up!!!!!!
Epik is the strictest hiring process I seen in Korea period! Medical check, police check, references, etc.

Guess I am just venting grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate slander!

This loser is just a poser grandstanding on the past.
This was probably based on a couple of years ago when they busted the Korean recruiter who faked documents for Canadians there were about 300 or more of them until they were deported. And now everyone has to prove their degree is real and have a police report and a medical check up.

Four year degrees aren't needed. I'm here on a 3 year Uni degree, and it's all perfectly legitimate.

Are you sure about that? I don't think so. A three year degree doesn't even have a major last time I heard.

Anyway, I hope they bust down on all the phonies. I know some stupid University grads, but of the High School only grads I can think of, we're far better with the stupid University grads than the High School grads.

I know people that graduated in 3 years. It was a 4 year degree. They just busted their butt taking 19 credits a semester + summer classes + winter classes to graduate early.

it's possible to graduate in 3 in the US.

in England, degrees are 3 years, not 4.

In Canada there are two kinds of degree's

A four year honours degree

A three year general degree

both of these are acceptable
Grade point average is not important too
