The Usual Suspects - probably one of my favourite movies. I love Kevin Spacey.

As for my favourite girly chick flick - Love Actually. Colin Firth can come to my house anytime.

"Ever Since the World Ended."

It's a straight-faced faux documentary about the survivors of a great plague that wipes out humanity. Think "The Stand" without all the religious nonsense, set in the Bay Area. Interesting if somewhat under done.

The Fifth Element. You really need a nice HD TV and good surround sound (with woofer) to get the full enjoyment from this film.

Kill Bill Series (both in one night)

Please watch...

"Everything Is Illuminated"

This is my pick for best film of 2005. Liev Schrieber ("The Omen" and "The Manchurian Candidate" remakes-I know. Don't blame him, an actor has to work.) wrote the screenplay adapted from the Johnathan Safran Foer novel. Schreiber also directed. The film stars Eugene Hutz (frontman for the awesome band Gogol Bordello) and Elijah Wood (yeah, i don't like Elijah Wood that much either, but he's great in this movie).

Watch it and be rewarded.

I'd pay Liev Schreiber to read me the phone book, and the little I've heard of Gogol Bordello was great. I'll have to look that one up.

Saw Reservoir Dogs and City of God the other night, time well spent. I liked the Usual Suspects too, but the fact that it came on OCN every week kind of spoiled it for me

I would suggest "Triplets of Belleville". Its a french animated film, and what is awesome about it is that there is no dialogue, and it works well because the animation speaks so well on its own.

Strange, you're the second person to recommend that movie recently. Did'ya know that Kurt Cobain based the song Scentless Apprentice on the book?

No, I didn't know that. I do recommend that film though....very interesting, and it lingers in your head for days after. I have little thoughts and flashbacks from the film.

It downloads really quickly too...
