Loads of us have seen the posts on the SMPA website and its known around Seoul that British citiizens are coming in on tourist visas and working for the British Council as IELTs examiners and teachers.

The rest of us English teachers are always under suspicion but its the UK and its embassy that are abusing the system possibily with Korean support. Doesn't say much for the U.K or the Korean systems.

I am sick of being of being lumped with them!

Is there is no professionalism at all left in this industry?

Not only have we got a new manager for our YL courses who is totally lacking in basic people skills, we also have found out that other teachers weren't even who their degrees said they were!!

Our new arrivals are whispering of leaving already over issues of work life balance.

what a place!
