I was crouching, naked, on the floor, guzzling olives out of the refrigerator, thinking about my girlfriend, when I realized, I could probably eat a can of olives faster than anyone else. Any challengers? |

now we have to define what type of olives are going to be used in this contest. Are we talking about black or green olives.
And i assume these are pitted.
If we are talking black olives, ur on. date, time, place.
Im the fastest black olive eater in the southern part of South Korea.
ps- will dressing be allowed because i prefer to dip into 1000 island and ranch. |

I hope it's not allowed because I prefer to be naked when consuming the nectorous buds of Mediterranean Europe |

Since it was a can of blacks I was eating, we'll go black.
But you guys are right, further details are needed. I mean, I said a can but does that mean starting with a can? Cuz my can opener is crap and I'd lose due to faulty equipment. I figure the proper way we should do this is on the fingers. Have ten already applied and then say , "Go!" From there we can munch them as quickly as possible but they have to go from can to fingertip to mouth. |

thumb included as one of the fingers?

would look alittle strange. |

I dunno, are you opposed?
The reason you're naked is for when the juice drips down your chest. |

Because being naked with olives on your fingers but not on your thumbs would look strange.
Having said that, I don't know about the speed of my olive eating abilities, but I'd give it a shot just because it's an excuse to eat olives. I also think that if everyone has the same size can, the type of olives should be up to the olive eater.
If you say oliver eater over and over real fast it really starts sounding funny. |

u r correct, sir. strange indeed.
on a side note, i hate it when i go to Subway, the sandwich shop, and they put like 3 chopped black olives on a foot long sub. This just ticks me off. I always tell them put extra olives on my sub. Some places even make me pay extra for it. (There really should be a law against this type of business practice.) In this case, i make them feel like the cheap bastards they are, but i will pay for it. Black olives just make the sandwich. |

You know what reaaaaaaaaly pissed me off? You don't, so I'll tell you.
I told them to put EVERYTHING on (I was gonna deal with the sweet pickles later..) You know what they did? I say they, I mean SHE,I mean one specific girl not all Koreans. SHE put everything on EXCEPT the olives and jalapenos. I had to ask for them. It pissed me off. Why would you put on sweet pickles, and leave off DELICIOUSNESS for me??
You'll be glad to know I stabbed her in the eye and then took over the shop as part of my White-guy-pretending-to-be-a-gangster-portfolio. You can be rest assured that at Jongro3-ga that crap won't be pulled again. Next time you'll get extra olive and jalapenos and no sweet pickles. And if you complain to the one eyed girl behind the counter? She'll stab you in the eye. No doubt |

I asked for lettuce at the Quizno's in Gangnam (Kyobo building). They were about to wrap up my sandwich with no veggies on it. I asked for lettuce even though I wanted some other things, but thought lack of communication was a problem. They refused. I told them I'd pay them extra. They said it was impossible. Then I told them I wasn't paying for the sandwich unless I had lettuce. Finally, they complied, but were really paranoid about it.
In Korea, the customer often doesn't matter. Even at an American franchise. |

I am up for that challenge. I have a can of sliced olives in the fridge left over from making pizza last night. The only reason they survived the night is the fact that is not easy (or classy) to eat sliced olives from the can with your fingers while drining red wine and hosting a dinner party. |

something about losing face if you try to modify a food order here. lhey lose face if they do it and you lose face for asking (if you are korean that is).
makes no difference that they have both fried and scrambled eggs sitting ing the kitchen and could easily one with the other. the menu is what the menu is.
as a overly generalized statement, korean culture has a tendency to freak out when something is done differently or out of order. just the way it goes |
