Guys, you want the women to be completely shaven down there, so are you also COMPLETELY hairless down there? That would only be fair.

1) to repeat what I said earlier, I do not expect landing strips (which I think are stupid...nothing but landing strips in Playboy nowadays) or Kojaks, but I also do not expect to look down and find Buckwheat's afro looking up at me. Playing on the Green, no. Playing in the Rough, no. Playing on the Fairway, yes.

2) Yes, I trim also. Not COMPLETELY because I do not expect my lady to go that far. I ask for a trim, so I trim mine to a decent shortness for her also. Fair is fair. Although, if the lady is into ball play, I'll shave them for her, so she doesn't have to worry about a mouthful of hair. It's called courtesy to my lover.

I feel unhygienic if I don't shave at least the bikini line and trim everything else very short.

I like my partners to trim or shave as well.

All have less than the average westerner? You're way off! There are MANY Korean women with zero armpit hair and huge southern jungles. It's a fact. Any guy who's slept with a few Korean women knows this. There is huge Korean bush - thicker than hojucandy's beard in the 80's in PNG!

cheers for the mention. i'll never be able to look at my smiling face in the mirror in quite the same way...

No! Does not turn me on whatsoever though you might get a different reaction from the bloke in racetraitors avatar! Evil or Very Mad

What are you talking about? I thought that WAS racetraitor. Wasn't it from his trip to Cambodia?

The bikini wax not only reveals the most intimate details, the most definitive tastes of the waxee, it bespeaks the subtext of a city.

I'm still sitting on the table when a little Korean girl walks in. At this point, I don't care. I'm ready to invite the whole family. She smiles at me, a funny smile. She has vampire teeth. After the warm greeting, the mood changes. Her face clouds over. She stares in between my legs. I can see the whole picture in her eyes. "Oh, so much hair." Even post-wax she is terrified. Her mother catches her staring and pushes her back behind the door.

I pull on my clothes and the first waxer gently addresses me, "You know, Asian women don't have that much hair." I'm left speechless for a moment. My question has been answered. I nod. "I've always wondered about that."

Rolling Eyes

Anyway, neatly trimmed is nice. As somebody up there said, there's nothing attractive about a bald, gaping hatched wound. I guess a generation of readers got hopped up on the "rose" metaphor too much. When you finish your business it looks like a bulldog eating a milkshake.

It's just a matter of personal preference. The comments on this board are fairly evenly split. I like a natural appearance, so shaved isn't ideal.

OMG! While reading "Religion and Ritual in Korean Society" by Kendall and Dix (eds.) I learned something that might partially explain the lack of "shaved option" in Korea. In page 162: "A long-held belief among Koreans [...] is that it brings a man three years of bad luck to have intercourse with a woman who lacks pubic hair."

There is also a mention of a young woman who had not told to her fiance that she did not have pubic hair. Because of this she was afraid that her marriage would be ruined from the beginning and considered, I kid you not, pubic hair transplant!

EDIT: Personally I want to see what I eat.

Very hard to explain to your mother at the sauna why you've got a landing strip. And lets not even get into the dirty looks you might get from the ajummas.

Add to that they gym: change rooms are a problem for any Korean women with anything but untrimmed hair, as in Korea women walk around naked. Women who trim or shave wear a towel around their waist, and while that gets odd looks from ajummas, it gets less than if they saw why they cover up.
Or so I've heard- I'm a man so I don't have any first hand experience.

I've asked, and trim is not a problem. But hickies are a problem, especially if the woman goes to the sauna with her daughter.
