I am planning on bringing my N.American Wii.... and buying the KOrean made power source. They sell power adapters on their own, set up to handle the voltage of the country they are sold in.

So, would the power adapter sold in Korea be allright? Or does the game console require a step down converter AS WELL?

Confused

Look at the power adapter/powersupply on your Wii. Does it say something like "110-240V"? If so then you just need a plug adapter. If it just says 110v then you need a step down converter.

Your Wii is no different than a hair dryer.

You can get transformers and adapters in Yongsan for much cheaper than back home. I know for the 360 I needed a transformer. I'm not sure about the Wii. Transformers are a safer bet. Mine cost about 20000 won
