Rarely do this but today my nerves were a bit....
So, without ado, picked up the boy's books and bag, led him and them out the door. Let him back after 10 minutes. |

It's a rare day if I don't send someone out of class for being obnoxious. Yesterday, I kicked 4 students out for varying lengths of time. Two of them get kicked out at least twice a week b/c they're so disruptive. It's amazing how well the class goes after they're both gone.

When I worked at a hagwon, I would kick kids out of my class sometimes. At the public school, I did it once and the kid threw a huge fit. He was one of the few really bad students. It was only that one time that I ended up taking him all the way to his homeroom and telling the homeroom teacher to deal with him. |

i've kicked out a lot of kids from my public school classes. i wouldn't worry about it.
so far, my record is 6 kids out at the same time, and i let them stay there to the end of class. they eventually tried to just sneak back to their seats while i was helping some other students, but i kicked them back out. those boys haven't done anything to get kicked out since |

If kids are such a nuisance that they disrupt the entire class, then they must go -- simple as that. I make them kneel in the hallway with their hands up, and then let their homeroom teacher deal with them when he/she comes back at the end of class.
Out of sight, out of mind. |

Trouble makers are often attention seekers.
The easiest way to deal with them is to drain all possible attention from him and remove him from the classroom.
When I was a kid that happened quit often too, no physical punishment, just removal from the group and a letter to my parents. |

The only time I do it is when a kids is preventing the other kids in the class from learning. First time 2 minutes, next time 10. I don't like doing it because I know that parents don't like it. They pay big bucks for their kids to come to our school and if they find out that they spend half the class out of the class, they won't be happy. |

Don't just kick them out of class. Some kids hate to study and probably want you to give them the boot.
Make sure there is a secondary punishment involved. Holding their arms out at 90 degrees with books on them used to work well for me. |
