I have a cable tv package which was already in place when I moved into my apartment. I operate my tv solely through the cable tv remote control, not the tv remote control. When there is no signal the screen is blue. When I change stations, the number flashes in a large green colour. Now my screen is black and displays the following: 외부입력 which I know means 'line in'. When I try and change channels as per normal nothing happens other than 외부입력시 셕택불가' appearing (which I know means I can't change channels when using line in).

So when I push the 외부입력 button, the channels appear again, but only half of the original selection, a little interference, and assigned completely different numbers.

I have tried every possible combination of button presses but I can't seem to restore the tv to how it originally was (ie, 500 channels, blue backlit, etc).

Can anybody please help this tv junkie?!

no vcr, Spliff you think it really is something to do with the bill? My landlord supposedly pays each month. I did notice for the last few days that when I turned my tv on, the screen was the blue colour but I couldnt watch any channels and there was some really long korean message displayed....

but like I said, when I push that line in button, I get maybe 40 channels, but this includes only about 5 English ones.

most TV's have an auto tune option in the menu... when you find it your TV will scroll through all the channels and retune itself..

if this doesnt fix the problem you will have to contact cable company and seek their help...

also your landlord may have downgraded the monthly package to save on some wonnage Smile
