Kim Jang-Hwan, the head of the Myeongdong management committee was recently quoted as saying in the Chosun Ilbo that "when construction of the illumination street is completed, visitors can enjoy beautiful illumination every night. We have a great opportunity to grow Myeongdong as a tourist attraction on a par with Las Vegas". I've never been to Las Vegas and I'm not even American, but that just strikes me as absolutely bloody hilarious  |

| I seem to remember someone saying this same kind of thing in the UK at one of the "dump" seaside places. Comparing it to "Britains future Las Vegas".. |

PR,
The place in Las Vegas is called Fremont Street and it's in the older section in towntown. It's actually worth seeing if you go there. I have no idea if this will be comparable, but we'll have to wait and see. |
