On principle, I support Israel over Palestine.

ie Jerusalem belonging to Israel

I doubt it- we're discussing empathy here, not common-sense. BB lacks both.

I just don't care about people that I don't know, and why should I? If it doesn't affect me then so what? So a girl killed herself. Good. She had the freedom to do so and used that freedom to fulfill her wish.

Remember, she chose to kill herself. At least she didn't fail there too.

Ok Bradley, seeing as there appear to be a lot of suckas on this forum, how about a trolling contest? Here's my first entry:-

Oh, but she did. She didn't get to punch you in the head first.

Just because I disagree with the majority of people here does not make me a troll but I'll accept your 'challenge'...

Why are blue-eyed people usually colour-blind? Is this nature's way of saying that they're inferior? To me it's a weakness. Thank God for my strong, healthy brown eyes!

I got punched in the face but I'm sure that having a suicidal female maniac punch me in the head would be one of the best memories that I could ever have of Korea.

Back on topic, sorta:

I look at my analogy like this, buddy. You know a neighbor, a mother, who lost her daughter to some sort of cancer. One day, your aunt mentions that your cousin(the one you never really talk to) has been diagnosed with cancer. Even though you barely consider the cousin, you emphathize with your aunt, because she's a mother about to lose her daughter.

Your particular analogy was something a little more like, "I know some Korean dude down the street, so I felt really bad when I heard that some Korean dude was killed."

I feel pretty close to my students; if you don't, that's your thang.

Well, I guess my thinking was too "Western" on that, even though I think we're on the same page here.
I just wish that there wasn't this type of pressure affecting all the kids here. Hell, I have seen a 7 year old girl cry because her drawing wasn't "perfect" and that isn't right! There is more to a person than an A grade. There is more to life than getting a perfect test score.

I just told a coworker today about how I felt that kids here have way too much pressure on them, and that a kid's life isn't all about passing tests, so we're definitely on the same page.

With that kind of attitude, I'm surprised you don't get punched in the head more often. If we get more people thinkink the way you do, it'll be a sad state of affairs.
