First watch The Wire. Best television show I've ever seen in my life.
Then watch Rome and Deadwood. Equally amazing!
Then if you're into espionage and covert operations watcha television show called The Unit.
Real Time with Bill Mahr is also great. |

How 'bout Red Dwarf?
Or the Nero Wolfe mysteries?
Or any Sherlock Holmes episode.
If you're into documentaries, what about The Leopard Son? Narrated by Sir John Gielgud, no less. |

Seen the wire, Rome and deadwood already. Does Deadwood have sea 4 yet? Rome sounds interesting, can't remember if I've seen it already...have to Google it for a mind refresher. Yup, seen it. |

What is the best Sherlock Holmes series? I just finished all the main novels and it doesn't seem like a good modern movie has been made of them. |

Carnivale was good, and done the most of the people responsible for Deadwood, but it dies an early death. Just like Deadwood.
I really like John from Cincinnatti, but if you disliked Twin Peaks I wouldn't watch it.
Flight of the Conchords.
Weeds.
Boston Legal. Probably the best drama/comedy about a law practice ever.
The 4400.
Home Movies. I love this show.
Metalocalypse. |

Spliff is right.

Jeremy Brett makes the role his own. I have a number of the old productions on DVD with Basil Rathbone and others, and they're good entertainment value in an old, "classic" kind of way. Rathbone was considered the definitive Holmes for ages and with good reason, but without a doubt (at least in my mind and, apparently, Spliff's) Brett owns the role.
If you haven't seen him, try it. You'll like it. |

you should check out the tv show "friends". it is about a group of cool people in new york and they hang out at a cool coffee shop. chandler is so sarcastic, and pheobe and joey are so funny. they also have cool haircuts. it was the best show ever, and i was so sad when it ended. |
