This is a sad tragedy.

Quote:
A video showing the last moments of a Polish immigrant, who died after Canadian police shot him with a stun gun at Vancouver International Airport, has been made public.

Robert Dziekanski, 40, was traveling to join his mother, who lives in British Columbia, when he ended up spending about 10 hours in the airport's arrivals area, The Canadian Press said.

The video shows Dziekanski, who had never flown before, becoming agitated. It then shows Mounties purportedly shocking Robert Dziekanski with a Taser device after confronting him. Dziekanski did not speak English.

I found what those officers did to be quite horrible. Someone should be fired for that. They outnumbered the Polish guy easily, and he wasn't really a threat to them. He didn't have a gun on him... Even one lady thought it was too much what they were doing... It's a shame for this to have been done in the name of the RCMP.

I hope they ban tasers in Canada. Makes me want to puke, what they did to that poor guy. Absolute disregard for safety. What kind of police force can't handle an unarmed man, 4 on 1? I hope those cops feel like shit for years to come.

Simultaneous Memorials Planned Across Canada
For Polish Victim Of RCMP Shooting

By The Canadian Press

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - A memorial service will be held Saturday morning for Robert Dziekanski, the Polish man who died at Vancouver International Airport last month after being SHOT TWICE by the RCMP Crying or Very sad

As preparations for the public service in the B.C. Interior continued, simultaneous services were being organized at other locations across the country.

The Kamloops funeral home where the service will be held has been inundated with calls.

Spokesman Lawrence Schrader said many are calling to express their outrage at the RCMP and asking how they can help Dziekanski's mother Zofia Cisowski.

"It's just that they're ashamed to be Canadian for the way Robert was treated," Schrader said.

Schrader said he expects the service to be standing room only.

"We can seat about 240 people but we have audio all through the building so we can accommodate up to 700 or 800 people."

Kamloops-area resident Bonnie Ride said anyone wanting to show support for Dziekanski's mother can gather at 11 a.m. Saturday for a candlelight vigil outside the funeral home.

Facebook postings suggest another candlelight vigil will be held at 11 a.m. at Vancouver International Airport.

As well, postings on the Internet social site are also calling for rallies Nov. 24 in Vancouver, Victoria and Toronto.

Cisowski's lawyer Walter Kostekyj said funds are being raised to pay for her to return to Poland with her son's ashes Idea

He said the fund will also help pay for the hiring of medical and other experts for the upcoming coroner's inquest into Dziekanski's death.

Dziekanski died Oct. 14 minutes after being SHOT TWICE by a Taser in the airport's international arrivals area.

A video taken by a bystander showed Dziekanski, who spoke only Polish, trying to barricade himself into the secure area of the arrivals terminal.

He had been at the airport for about 10 hours, waiting for his mother to meet him

Woke up this morning with that "Taser Anyone" Feeling... La la la La la la la... Today Im gonna Tazer someone ha'...

Police are trained not to think for themselves, the public are enemy number one... tha's why we dont get Police Service no more, now it's called Police "Force" and the thrill of tasering someone gives you alot to discuss with the buddies after crunch time's over.

~"Yeah did you see... when I tased him, He was like shaking and shit' pissin' his pants!!! Ha ha Vukking HA ~ Awesome Feeling Man!!! I knew it!!!"

I think he was a noob cause the first thing he asked was "Can I Taser him?", I mean if you're a normal human being you'd try to be of some assistance, assess the situation, try body language... baby language would have worked too... Get the guy a glass of water as a gesture to show you wanna help him...

"But in training today, we heard that everyone's a potential terrorist, and he fit the description..." Foreigner, No English, Acting Supersuspicious ...

I say well done to the public who accepted this BS initially... this is war and sometimes you get free casualties, if there ain't any we'll give you one or many...

The guy probably needed an interpreter. Couldn't they call for an interpreter? Even if a Russian came he may have had a broken understanding of the Pole. That would have been logical instead of just sending in police to taze someone. Supposedly, he was tazed more than two times...

Those RCMP robo-cops were shamefully brazen, rash, excessive & ignorant.

These sort of heinous, inexcusable acts are committed daily.

More often than not they're allowed to freely get away with it.

*wink wink, nudge nudge*

ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.

Criminal Charges Possible Over Canada Airport Taser Death
Tue Nov 20, 3:55 PM

OTTAWA (AFP) - Canada's Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day on Tuesday said four federal police officers face possible criminal charges in the death of a Polish migrant shot with a stun gun at the Vancouver airport last month.

"This is a very serious incident that has taken place, and there are a number of investigations that are going on to get to the bottom of it," Day told reporters.

A Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) investigation will include the possibility of criminal charges, he said, citing the lead investigator in the case.

"If there is culpability ... to be assessed, it will be done."

So, the RCMP will be investigating its own? Given that the RCMP is a disgusting, corrupt "law enforcement" agency, does anyone expect corrupt killers to FAIRLY investigate their own? I dont.

I was just listening to CBC radio and an RCMP spokesman said that a man in Chilliwack was tasered yesterday and is in critical condition.

Then he said that the Chilliwack Serious Crimes Section would be passing the file on to E-Division (British Columbia) RCMP Major Crimes Unit for a "An impartial and objective investigation." Very Happy

Ah, the police investigating the police - nice!

Remember, a lot of these guys are buddies and have worked with each other for years.

Somethings wrong with a system that allows the RCMP to investigate the RCMP.
