Summer revisited ...
Just a question which I've always been curious about.
When a woman wears a short skirt, and a guy kind of looks too long or even looks - he might say, 'nice legs' - he will be considered a pervert - the woman might put her hand over her skirt or give him a nasty look. Maybe he'll even get a slap.
Then, why do women wear such short skirts if this is the typical response? I mean, every man and his dog is kind of that way inclined. If they are not worn for the purpose of posing, why are they worn?
Enlighten me, please.

PS: I personally never look. I'm too afraid for that.
PPS: I also don't believe it's because the weather is 'hot.' There are other items of clothes that can be worn, like shorts or long thin-fabric pants.

i like to wear short skirts for 2 reasons.
1. i think i look good in them and i like to look good.
2. other people think i look good in short skirts.
i don't mind appreciative glances, but people totally perving out on me? nope. don't like that so much. just 'cause i'm showing some leg doesn't mean i'm gonna show my snatch too.

I get a kick out of the girls holding their purse over their ass when going up the subway steps. Like we're all looking. Which, of course, we are!!!

But, sometimes, the skirt isn't even short yet she's protecting her modesty with the purse.

And, I kid you not, I saw one girl wearing jeans do the purse on the bum thing!!! Really! What's going on there?!!

I don't get it...how is admiring the miniskirted a 'perv' thing? As long as one isn't drooling or threatening about it, where's the harm?
'Pervert' is term I reserve for subway frotters, rapers, or those who like dressing up in bit and bridle while squashing hamsters with their bum and getting spanked by a shaved rhesus monkey in a wedding dress.

If somebody wants to pay me a lascivious gaze because I look fine to them, well, whatever. They might be dreaming, but as far as I know that's not illegal yet.

i enjoy the occasional mini skirt, provided she's not a fatass, but staring can be a problem. putting myself into a girl's shoes for a moment, i'd be a bit scared if a guy can't take his eyes off me. guys see it as "appreciating the female form" but maybe girls would perceive you as a guy who hasn't been laid in a long, long time and is on the verge of committing rape.

girls seem to have excellent peripheral vision too...when some hot girl in a short, tight dress walks into a room with her head high and gaze locked forward, somehow they can tell in an instant which guys are checking her out...so play her own game...use your own peripheral vision to see if a hot girl walks in the room...purposefully don't bother looking at her. this will piss her off and make her feel unwanted, and in her own stupid attention seeking nature, she'll probably sit next to or near you to make sure you know she exists. at that point, you can start offering her free english lessons if she promises to wear that dress. (kidding)

anyway, it's honestly just a healthier way of life to not check out every girl showing some leg. trust me, i was a big time perv in high school.

and provided you're not actually a creep, the whole "pervert!" response from the girls is just a defense mechanism/insecurity thing...they don't want to admit they're dressing provocatively and that they're TRYING to get a guys attention. they want to think it was all just one big accident and they can't help but be irresistible. girls are so messed up in the head.

OP, I agree 100%.

Obviously we all know that there are some crazy mo' fo' guys out there. Especially in a big city. Why would girls expect that the crazies will be reserved when they can see half of her a*s? Long-stares and gawking are to be expected. Even rude comments should be expected. It's not nice, but it happens. Girls know it happens, but they dress like that anyway. It's so funny when they get pissed off. They are part of the problem. If you don't want negative attention, cover up. But the answer is obvious: girls LOVE the attention. They WANT people gawking at them, because aint' nobody goin' to be doin' that when they are 60.

The reason girls dress in panty-skirts is the same reason that old bald guys drive sports cars: attention.

Obviously, when guys look at girls wearing a short skirt, we are thinking about sex. Am I right? We're thinking "Man I'd like to tap that!" Am I right?

I would guess that most girls know that guys are thinking that. But the girls say they don't want sex. But they are dressed like a hooker. In many cases, those girls dress the same way that someone who sells sex does.

So, what is it? Why do they do it? A TEASE? That's all it is. Those girls are f*cked in the head.
