Hi,
I arrived here without having a job arranged. Figuring it'd be easier to score a good one this way. However, I've found myself in a bit of a predicament.
I accepted a job in Seoul, the school itself seemed nice enough, but it's hardly a dream job, by any stretch. The director wanted me to find my own place which I reluctantly accepted to do. He will pay 600,000 won to cover my accomadation costs each month. But, I need to stump up key money, etc. This is frankly to much of a burden financially.
I visited an apartment on Friday which was nice enough (no key money too), but one of the fellas living there has thrown a hissy fit today, saying he wants a girl to live with.
I'm living in Daegu at the moment because I used to work here and it's much cheaper to stay here. At least I think(?) I'm paying 25,000 won a night in a comfortable little motel.
Can I decide to pass on this job once my visa has gone in for processing? Should I put much more pressure on the school to sort out my housing themselves? I'm considering asking them to pay the key money for me so I can find a nice place without dodgy flatmates.
Any advice, especially on the visa question, would be appreciated. |
