What does being faithful have to do with all this? |

Don't have much time here so will say this quick. There are some factors you need to put into this:
1) About what time of "the day" was this? If it was late, was she drunk? And if you did smell some liquor on her then like the other guy said, "What the ^%$#%en *&^ is wrong with you!!!!"
2) Have you looked around the train? There could be that slight possibility that it could have been either a hoax or dare put up by her friends(hence I ask what time it was?) Were there a lot of people inside the train because I'd find it hard to believe that she would embarass herself in front them, especially if she is Korean.
When the girls here are intoxicated pretty much anything will come out of their mouths. I've had countless girls just come up to me out of nowhere after drinking hours(i guess every hour is drinking hour here) and tell me to "Take me somewhere". hahaha.
Learn from this experience wisely. There will be many more chances...
(and speaking of subways: if you want to notice some seriously beautiful girls then go the Kangnam station at any given time. I've noticed some there many-a-times) |

Okay, I feel I need to share something here. I've never shared any pick-up tips and tricks before but I will share one right now...(share is not the keyword by the way)
1) DO NOT MAKE UP A NAME CARD! That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. What girl in their right mind is going to accept one and let alone have the guts to call you. Even if she likes you KOREAN GIRLS NEVER CALL FIRST! Yes, text messaging is fun and an effective way to communicate mack-style. But that's the second step. Like I said above unless your comm skills are right on and you can convice her to give you her number, then instead settle for her
2)EMAIL ADDRESS. Start with messenger. Girls here love to chat because you know they all have computers and no-rae-bangs are everywhere. When she feels secure enough to finally give you her number in a non-threatening environment or take yours, she will. Teachers or not, believe it or not-not every girl wants to learn english. So assume your profession out the door.
gotta get back to work. I said I didn't have a lot of time (grammar) I probably missed out something here but anyone that knows what I'm talking about please reiterate. |

did you by chance mean PC bangs? Last time I looked no-rae bangs were singing rooms without computers.
Also all depends if you wanna quick lay or a solid relationship. Most guys that would try to pick her up would be in for a short term thing I'd think. |

easy there, tex.
i'm willing to bet you've heard several dumber things than that on this board alone.
a) a namecard need not be limited to a phone number. my card has my email address on it.
b) this idea wouldn't even have occurred to me if it wasn't such a huge part of korean culture to introduce one'sself with a namecard.
c) the OP never made it clear that his interests were limited to girls who were in their right minds. the genesis of this thread centers on a girl who very well might be out of her mind.
d) it's a nice thing to have in a pinch if a girl wants to exchange numbers with you in a rushed situation (like riding a subway when her stop is coming up) and neither one of you have a pen handy.
e) rare situations, such as: a girl is on the phone, and needs to jot down directions or some other information, and needs something to write on. "here, just use the back of this." it's a long shot, sure. but nothing to turn your nose up at.
f) there's no disadvantage to having a namecard handy. i feel this is a valid argument only because you wrote in capital letters that people shouldn't get namecards made. was your father killed by a namecard or something?
g) my namecard has gotten me laid more than once.
good luck! |

okay, lots of things to respond to, thanks for the input gang.
A. it's not like I want to marry the girl, just have a little fun.
B. I'm not kicking myself over this, just wondered what the social norm in that situ. was. Also, it's not like I'm starving in this country since I'm already sleeping with a girl that looks like a Corean Alyssa Milano. Just keeping my door open...
C. I met Danica at sundance last january and shame on any of you for calling her ugly. But the girl in french class was cute too, wonder what she looks like now.
D. Why would I make up this story? Like I care what a bunch of losers on dave's think about anything. Haven't I made it clear that I'm not here to make friends and that the majority of you are small brained, myopic hypocrites that need a good kick in the arse (with many exceptions of course, dogbert, the lemon, tiger bear etc.) and some more life experience. and bb, morals are subjective to the tolerant.
E. It was about 10 am on a wednesday, so I doubt alcohol played a part, Line 2, the girl was alone, the subway is a pretty anonymous place to start with, and it wasn't very crowded because that was the S.A.T. day
F. I think you guys are getting the wrong picture of what actually happened. It's nothing more than what you see on the subway all the time. Knees rubbing up against your neighbor is really no big deal. It was more the fact that she persisted doing it under the cover of 'sleepiness' and missed her stop because it was such a comfortable moment. |

EOTW, I meant no disrespect to your method of namecards(well, maybe I did and for that my apology). Yes, everyone has their own style but my advice was for those pursuing real girls in daylight situations. If you want "a quick lay", yeah sure by all means those steps are not necessary. Go to any social atmoshere and the cards are there already laid out for you.
But, let's be honest, the really attractive ones in my opinion are the ones you see walking to work, getting off the subway, standing outside Lotte World in the middle of the day. That is the true challenge that inspires the casanovas in us to make "our" moves. Because everytime you see "your Winnies or Julies or whoever rocks your boat" and let those opportunities slip by it makes the next one even harder.
The reason why I laid(i keep saying that) out those tips is that we don't have a lot room to make errors. Girls pick up on that so easily. They can smell unconfidence and when you foul up a chance from the get-go and fail to get her number the first try(or give her yours then you regret you did cuz you feel she won't call you), do you think you ever will now? So why take unnecessary chances and reduce your success rate?
out of time again.

shim shim eh.
And there might be, among the exceptions, someone with actual useful knowledge. usually I post to make people think. This one was more of a fact finding mission. If you disregard 90% of the crap posted, or just appreciate it for the amusement factor, the other 10% might have some vaule. |
