I know that some people are considering going home after Korea to get their B.Ed to teach in the school system at home. According to the new survey by the Ontario College of Teachers, only 21% of new graduates outside of the GTA area found regular work in teaching. It's abysmal. I found it extremely difficult to break into as well.

See the article "Emerging employment crisis for new English-language teachers" found at http://www.oct.ca/publications/professionally_speaking/december_2007/transition_english.asp

Working in Korea is hard to beat. Either that, or learn a skilled trade, IMO.

That has unofficially benn the case since late 2004.

I had LTO's and contacts myself, and worked pretty much every day as a supply teacher when not working LTO's, and loved supply teaching, but the day to day grind of teaching in Ontario with all the enabling of ignornat jackass behaviour-there has been more than a few phone calls to the Ottawa cops about bomb threats-and the first frew were NOT charged-I'll take Korea, thanks!

ps 18 year old high school student Stephanie Young is charged with first degree murder-she should have known better and done the deed befort turning 18 because Canada loves their childrenSSSSSSSSSS
