Heard 'The Master' is making a reappearances this season.
Daleks were over done, but loved the showdown with the Cybermen,
"We have 5 million Cybermen, how many are you?"
"FOUR!"
"Four, you would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks"
"We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! EXTERMINATE!'
"Delete!,delete!'

The big face guy did tell the doctor there was another Time Lord. The Master is a Time Lord. Hot damn, love The Master. |

Well, I only started watching with Christopher Eccleston and well, I REALLY liked him. He was odd looking with a cool accent and all that stuff.
My friend has a theory that your first Doctor will always be your favorite. |
Yeah, Eccleston was awesome. I was happy to see him on Heroes.
As for your theory, I must be the exception to the rule...I've watched all the Doctors except for the first, although I did start with Pertwee. My favourite? Eccleston, if only for the range of emotion he displayed throughout the series, especially when it came to the Daleks and the Time War. Before him, it was Davison. (Hmm... Davison and Eccleston... the only "real" actors in the bunch, sorta... certainly Eccleston was classically trained)
As for companions, I was never a Sarah Jane bandwagoner. Couldn't stand the screechy co-dependent bint. Liked Peri cause she seemed a lot more independent. Same reason I LOVED Rose... she'd kick your ass without thinking twice and didn't whine for the Doctor to rescue her every episode.

And NOT Eric Roberts this time, please! |

| I think there's a huge difference between current Doctor Who and old Doctor Who. From what I've seen of the old stuff, a lot of it was just B-science-fiction quality, and the new stuff has much more emotional depth. |

This sounds about right but I need to find more of the old episodes. Thus far, I've only seen 3 doctors.
I know the old series is well-known if only because it was so successful despite being produced on a shoestring budget. I wonder how much it costs today? |

I thought Davidson was pretty underrated. Eccleston, while a good actor, didn't strike me as a good doctor.
Then again, I like Tom Baker and Sly McCoy. Tennant seems to be picking up on the goofball aspects of the character, which I'm happy about.

| Christopher Eccleston's thing was that he was trying to make the Doctor seem more modern and less campy, hence the really toned down outfit. It worked for him, but acting like an oddball has worked for Tennant. |

I dig the All Stars with the pinstripes. I'm sure it's been done before but it's hot. |

Tom Cruise is set to star in a special episode of hit British TV show 'Doctor Who'.
The 'Lions for Lambs' actor is among a host of top US stars, including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Madonna, who the BBC are hoping to get on board for three installments of the British sci-fi series to be filmed next year.
An insider told Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "BBC producers know they can't pay these stars what they are used to, but what they can offer is an exciting role in a real cutting-edge show. And the big stars love that kind of kudos."
'Doctor Who' already has a track record of attracting top stars for cameos. This year's Christmas special, 'Voyage of the Damned', will see Kylie Minogue play a waitress at the 1912 launch party for the famously doomed ocean liner Titanic, which sank after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage.
The three 'Doctor Who' specials will be shot in 2008, but will not hit screens until 2009.
The three episodes are rumored to be the final time actor David Tennant will play the time-travelling Doctor.
It is also believed 25-year-old actress Billie Piper - who quit the show in 2006 to pursue other projects - will return to play his sexy sidekick Rose Tyler. |
Hollywood stars (at least these choices...come on, Tom Cruise and Madonna?) BOOOOOO!
Rose Tyler back at least for one more episode? YAYYYYYYY. |

| Since Tom Cruise has already been to every planet in our galaxy I think he's the perfect choice. |

According to Scientology, science fiction isn't fictional--it's just writers regressing to past lives they lived billions of years ago. |

True, are we to expect more tears?
Anyway, here's a clip of Dr Who from Children in Need. Thought at one point he was going to start making out with himself.

Dr Who's reference to the latest Master
"No beard this time, well a wife"
Has me questioning the Master's sexuality. |

| Anyone catch the Extras christmas special? A cute doctor who scene. At first I was like "Wow can't believe they got David Tennant!" But then I realized, oh wait, this is a Ricky Gervais project. Gervais is HUGE! |
