Women around here don't want children at all or not for a long time?

Dang, that's why this thirtysomething guy has to head back to Canada after five years here, as it's time to get married and start having kids. And the prospects of meeting a great woman here who is looking at getting serious in the year or two is.... slim at best.

Puts in the realm of fantasy the thought of meeting a fellow ESL teacher who is happy teaching overseas AND wants to get married and have kids.

*sigh* That's life.

I suppose I can understand Canadians or Australians etc wanting kids- they live on vast, mostly empty continents.

But Koreans?? Is there really any space for more? i couldn't move a muscle playing sardines on Line 2 this evening.

Ultimately my opinion is...were in the 21st century now, the earth is jammed full of people, we have enough problems taking care of the ones we have. In addition, we have the opportunity to live much fuller lives than people even a century ago- we can trave the world, have careers, do lots of interesting stuff in our liesure time. We can fully realise our potential. So why even devote your life to something so primitive, time and money-consuming as reproducing? Its unneeded.

If you absolutely must though, there are many starving orphans in the world that really need a good home.

I don't know. The problem is that you can't stuff it back in and ask for a refund if you don't like how it turns out.

That's what school is for. So you don't have to deal with them though most of the day.

Just think of them giant heads forcing their way out, leaving you as loose and floppy as an old sock on laundry day...

All this can generally be rectified with Kegals. And if you do your Kegals before you give birth, even better. My little kittens popped out quite easily, and I put that down to part good fortune, and in part to having trained those muscles well.

Men should also do Kegals: http://www.healthconnect.gov.au/internet/wcms/publishing.nsf/Content/continence-info-pmen.htm

No way I'm going to push a kid out.

even with a miracle of science.

Letty had a small head at birth. She still has a small-ish head.

And I am NOT loose or floppy - that's a misconception.

I think these are related.

Thirding this. Huge effort for uncertain payoff.
