|
|
My visa expires in a few weeks and I was expecting the usual pile
of papers and visa hop to Japan (or god forbid, all the way back to
Canada)
To my surprise all I needed was my new contract, passport and ARC.
The entire process took 20 minutes. E-7 visa holders no longer have
to leave the country to renew visas. The woman who processed me said
it was part of the new drive to make visa issuance more user-friendly and
streamlined.
Moreover, all E-7 visas are now automatically multiple re-entry. No more
re-entry stamps.
Nice. |

Cool!
So if we get jobs at International schools and stay here on E7s and we can skip the crap that they are putting E2's through.
Funny thing is that Chris Neil (the pedo case that prompted all this) was (from my understanding) here on an E7 and NOT on an E2.
Truly, the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. |

It's OK. The left hand has no idea what the left hand is doing, either! |

So logically, it's the E7 holders that are the dirty sex perverts!
We're getting a bum rap. |

I don't understand, I have never had to leave the country to renew my E-7.
You also don't need to leave the country to renew an E-2.
OP, do you mean re-new or apply for a new visa with a different employer? |
