I pay 550 000 won per month. My apartment is really small, but it is very quiet and only about 5 minutes from the subway station. You can, however, find a larger place for the same money. Overall though, I'm satisfied with the place. |

Yes, Sinchon is considered one of the pricier areas of Seoul.
I lived in an Officetel there for 2 years. Deposit was 10 million won and rent was 500,000 won. Now, it's 700,000 won.
If you go to nearby Ahyeon-dong, you can find places cheaper than in Sinchon but they're usually older. |

What's the low end? I actually prefer a smaller place; I find it easier to keep orderly. There's a reason they're called bachelor suites. |

When I was looking for a place, the lowest I saw that was right in Shinchon was 450 000 (if I remember correctly). The place was tiny. I mean tiny. I didn't even walk in. The real estate agent looked at me with a sheepish grin and just closed the door. |
