Does anyone know where we can buy a sign of some sort to keep the mormons away?

It's twice a week now, and at the point of harassment. I want to call the police. They always come 10 minutes after I start a nap.

Make one yourself. Get a small wooden board, some magnets if you have a metal door, some glue and some paint. "Knocking on my door with religious intent will result in raw egg on your face."

If I have to listen to one more ajumma attempt to convince me of the perverted teachings of Elohim, she's going to endure an awful lot of drama.

I've answered the door in my shorts before not knowing who it was (like that guy on the recent KBS anti-foreigner program, but my apartment is clean) and the two women with the Jehoviah's Witness guy hid behind the door as not to look at my sexiness.

So I'm sure answering buck naked would work wonders. Get an erection, that'd be even funnier.

We don't really have this trouble in the UK where I live but in some places the Jehovah's Witnesses have some pretty intence publicity campaigns. When my dad used to live in London he would just put a little statue of the virgin mary in the window (even though he wasnt religious atall) it really works because the catholics have traditionally been strongly opposed to the other smaller offshoots and 'sects' of christianity.

Mormons work in groups, so if they are coming to your door repeatedly, just tell them that your house is not to be visited by any more mormons, and if they are, you will throw water on them the next time they come to the door.

I've never had them come to my door in Korea thankfully. If you don't know enough Korean, I'd ask someone at work to teach you a phrase or have them write it down and say (or show it) to them.

In the event they come back after that, I vote for bb's idea to throw water on them. Maybe they'll melt.

Funny, I never considered the mormons might be Korean. I think coming to the door buck naked would do wonders to scare them away.

Only 1 time in Korea did any religious person knock on the door. It was a few Jehova's Witnesses. I spoke some Korean with them and asked them to hand out the Korean brochures instead of the English ones. My only advice is that if the religious people in Korea bother you, use it as an opportunity for a free Korean lesson.

I think the OP said they were Korean, but maybe I misunderstood. I'd enjoy answering the door buck naked, but the wife would kill me if I did that.

There are over 80,000 Korean members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In my ward I am the sole foreigners, although we did have an American visiting yesterday.

Quite a few of the Korean members serve missions in Korea. For males, the mission is 24 months and for females, 18 months. If you do not wish to be bothered with a repeat visit, a simple "I am not interested, please never come to my apartment again with your message" should work wonders.

As another poster mentioned, the missionaries work in groups. Missionaries are assigned in pairs and will never work alone. They also report to a Zone Leader in their mission who reports to the Mission President.

Abusing them or assaulting them because they had the temerity to simply knock on your door is uncool. Why not be polite and state you're not interested. They have a lot of ground to cover and can move on. They also do their missions at their own cost, as in unpaid. They do not solicit funds either.
