|
|
So, the search function just brings up a blank screen. I know this has been posted before, but I'm unable to find it.
What exactly are the max dimensions for international surface mail? I looked on the post office website, but couldn't find anythin about the max dimensions for a box. http://www.koreapost.go.kr/eng/index.jsp
And if you can provide a link to where you found the info please! Thanks! |

200cm when these are added together:
Height x 2
Depth x 2
Width (x 1) |

| I'll back BB up on this one. I was going to send some boxes home earlier in the year and was told the same thing. The person that told me this at the post office said there is no way around it. I ended up measuring boxes so I could get one that was the biggest size possible. |

| Do I have to have items already packaged when I get to the post office or can I bring them in a bag and have them boxed there? |

They sell boxes, but I can't recall seeing packing tape and scissors there. Bring the tape and scissors with you to be safe. |

They have everything you need for packaging and sending your stuff.
They have tape, scissors, glue, boxes, bubble wrap and the pen to write the lable with.
There is a small fee for the boxes and bubble wrap. |

Make it smaller or spend the big bucks for FEDEX or DHL.

If you make or cut down your own box, the total linear dimensions cannot exceed 200cm as outlined above.
(height x 2) + (width x 2) + length = < 200cm.
If you are buying a box from the post office, the largest size they will ship to North America is a #5 box (which is smaller than 200cm). |

| I had a package that was 220cm. The post office said they would ship it, but it might get returned by the Busan postal people before it set sail. |

So in theory you can send a 1cmx1cmx198cm object and it will get there ok?
I can start sending those fluorescent tubes I've been collecting back. |

In theory, NO. It would be 2cm too large.
1x1x196 would in theory be accepted. |

| How gentle is the Korean post (first time lover gentle or buggage handler gentle), anyone had any packages where the contents are damaged? |
