Ok so i have this problem. My Xbox 360 works great on my HD TV and also works great on my friends regular TV but on some TV's it only shows in black and white. I am trying to trade the system for a modded one and want to rule out any problems with the system. Do you guys think it is a TV thing or Xbox thing. I just don't get how it can be selective in which TV it shows color on. Everything is in black and white from the splash screen in the beginning and the dashboard.

any help would be appreciated

Where is it from?

If it's a UK model playing on NTSC then it will be in black and white.

I think you got the virus. Shocked

but on a more serious note. Does your xbox have a PAL/NTSC switch on the back. If so, make sure that it is always switched to NTSC.

Otherwise, I don't know. PAL/NTSC problems is the most common reason for a B&W picture (the only reason I know of) when plugging components into TVs.

Sounds like a cable pins problem to me. Or a bad cable/pin conflict.

Try another cable.

we tried 2 sets of cables.... the xbox service center also said it was a cable problem and that we need to find the right cable for the tv. Service center said it is not a video card problem since the video is showing and not distorted. She said a tv prob or cable prob. It works great on my TV and my friends TV but it is black and white on two others....weird
