|
|
My co-workers all have music on their handphones (instead of ring tones) turned up to ungodly volumes. Much of the time when they are not at their desks (and I am) they leave the phones on their desks and the constant music at blaring levels annoys me almost to the point of explosion. I notice the same thing around the city when the phones go off in elevators, restaurants, everywhere. Constantly blaring computer music!
(For what its worth, I keep my phone close at hand at all times, with a vibration to notify me of incoming calls.)
Anyone else going bonkers over this???? |

Not at all. I am one of thoughs people who like to change the musical tones on my handphone. Handphone culture, once you let yourself swim with it, rocks. Couldn't think of my life without one, and the little bits of fun you can have with it. MSM is got to the best thing since sliced bread. |

Well if my coworkers do that and dont answer their phones, i goto their desk and take the battery out...we are not supposed to have ringers on our handphones in the office.
I'd think an office culture would know that all those rings distract from people working, and make productivity decrease... |

I'm not against the music, actually I think its kind of nice. I have a problem with the volume and the inconsiderate manner its played in. I agree with the company culture issue, I think that it is just professional courtesy. |

I love the one with the little girl's voice whining, "Ooopppaaah, cheon-hwa badeuseyo." Adorable. |

I was going somewhere on a bus a while ago and I kept hearing a police siren gradually getting louder as it seemed to approach us from behind. Then it would stop. I kept looking around but no cops. This happened about 5 times before I realised it was a cellphone ringing . Pretty good sound from such small speakers. |

I have often been on a train or a bus when some idiot decides to play with their phone. They aren't content until they have heard all the ring tones. It can even happen at night when I am trying to sleep through a long journey. Arseholes! |

At my office one of the senior guys is always getting calls on his cell phone. He is literally never without that phone, which is good because he never forgets it at his desk. However when he steps out of our teams area people start to relax, get louder, and let their guard down. Thats when I take my cell phone off of silent mode and call it with my office phone! You guessed it- my ring tone is the same as his! The office literally gets dead quiet and you can see people stiffen in their seats! So far I have gotten away with this 3 times. Im not pushing my luck though

i've been on buses where some korean teens are playing their cellphone rings and singing along to them at the same time.
i really can't picture the reaction if i was to pull my celly out on the TTC and start singing along to 99 luftballoons or something like that. |
