|
|
Quote: |
New Yorker Alison Wilson was walking down Prince Street in SoHo last week when she heard a woman's voice right in her ear asking, "Who's there? Who's there?" She looked around to find no one in her immediate surroundings. Then the voice said, "It's not your imagination.
Indeed it isn't. It's an ad for "Paranormal State," a ghost-themed series premiering on A&E this week. The billboard uses technology manufactured by Holosonic that transmits an "audio spotlight" from a rooftop speaker so that the sound is contained within your cranium. The technology, ideal for museums and libraries or environments that require a quiet atmosphere for isolated audio slideshows, has rarely been used on such a scale before. For random passersby and residents who have to walk unwittingly through the area where the voice will penetrate their inner peace, it's another story. " |

There's similar tech that involves smell, a Milk Board campaign used it along with pictures of cookies. It kind of backfired as people's responses were generally, I want a cookie, not I want a cookie and milk.

Pah! C'mon, man. Nobody actually wants ... inside your head
Sounds more ... just like another crazy conspiracy "theory".
In fact, y'know, if i didn't know better, i'd even say just clinging to such neurotick poppycock could damn near be grounds for having "THEM" come demand you be locked up in a mental san-i-torium.
God knows you wouldn't be the first
p.s. Anyone happen to know the latin etymology for the word GOVERNMENT? |

Intrusive Brain Surveillance Technology:
Hacking the Mind
by Carole Smith
Global Research, December 13, 2007
Dissent Magazine, Australia, Summer 2007/2008
"We need a program of psychosurgery for political control of our society. The purpose is physical control of the mind. Everyone who deviates from the given norm can be surgically mutilated.
The individual may think that the most important reality is his own existence, but this is only his personal point of view. This lacks historical perspective. Man does not have the right to develop his own mind. This kind of liberal orientation has great appeal. We must electronically control the brain. Someday armies and generals will be controlled by electric stimulation of the brain.
Dr Jos Delgado. Director of Neuropsychiatry, Yale University Medical School Congressional Record,
No. 26, Vol. 118 February 24, 1974.

Guitar, please check the pseudo-thoughtspeak. You sometimes say things of merit, but by putting all the "K"s and using wildly affected type you seem... silly. A person to be pitied not listened to seriously. Aren't you aware of that?
Now back to the actual thread...
Anyone remember the 2000 Republican national convention. During some of the speeches the TV behind the podium was flashing 1984-esque images. They were attempting to do the whole "mind control" business with subliminal images only they screwed up and were flashing the images too slowly. I laughed and laughed at that. |

While i appreciate your acknowledging the sporadic merits of what i share with forum members,

He's right though. Your overuse of the k and all the emoticons are just silly. |
