I have an idea for a great invention; or maybe something like this already exists.
Sometimes before a long day in Seoul, I go to that Seoul Bus Route webpage and copy down bus routes for the places I need to go. I like buses because you don't have to go up and down the stairs, can see the city, and have more options for on/off. But after the first couple of errands, I have to change my schedule and then trash all my work on the bus routes. Then it is back to the subways.
I would love to have one of those small GPSs that knows the bus routes. Just put in where you want to go and it could check the bus routes and tell you where the nearest stop is and what bus to take. It would be great to have this info real time, instead of only when home on the internet.
I guess one way would be to get a really small laptop and internet service that is covered around the whole city. But this is lacking the GPS and also would be really expensive for a small laptop. Even the smallest laptop is expensive and heavy compared to those GPS units.
Any idea how to accomplish this. Sound good to anyone else? |

Best option for you would be to get a palm-pilot type of handheld device. Many models are capable of downloading and running the INAVI software from www.inavi.co.kr, if you pay. It's worthwhile, and you can walk around and use the GPS.
That way, if your Palm-pilot can also get the internet, maybe you can look up bus routes.
For just a small GPS that you can walk around with, the Inavi PNS is a great little unit, and only costs about $260 or so. |

There is PDA software that lets you find a bus route (or subway route)
I forgot the name. |
