I actually really enjoyed the newest Mr. Bean movie. It was sweet without being too saccharine.
And I just watched Moran's stand-up. I love the Irish.
Anyone know of any other good Irish stand-up? |

Tommy Tiernan, Ardal O'Hanlan, Sean Hughes (back in his day), and some others whose names I can't remember. |

I'm not really understanding the Mr Bean thing, I'm sorry. It's for 12 year old kids. Liked it at school but now......
There was a guy a few years back called Andrew Maxwell. He took over from Ricky Gervais, who took over from Ali G on the 11 o'clock show.
If you want standup then Bill Bailey is the man. Not Irish but well worth it. |

Al Murray too. But you won't like him if you're not British. |

All the torrents I've pulled down that are SkyOne dubs have no sound.
I blame both Rupert Murdoch and the Isles in general. |

Have I got news for you.
Satirical news quiz, which has been running for years. The old presenter (Angus Deayton) was sacked after getting caught snorting coke with some hookers and was replaced by weekly guests, but who never quite managed to match his superb dry bite, but who did a good job all the same.
As it's a weekly stab at the news, it probably wont be as funny now as when it was broadcast as what made it so funny (apart from being extremely witty) was because it was so topical.
Worth dipping into if you're bored over xmas. |

| I think Have I got news for you is really good but found that Mock the Week is way better. But they are both really good. |

It's HBO so it's not specifically British, as in BBC, tv, but it is Gervais/Merchant which is pretty damn British...
Has anyone seen the Series Finale of Extras? I loved this show. In fact I think I liked it better than the Office. The schadenfreude was still there, but not so much so that the show hurt as much as the Office did at times.
The series finale was brilliant, if not overly funny. I think it was a genius turn how they played everything out. I don't want to spoil it so I'll stop there. Anyone seen it?
Please note that if the thread continues it likely spoils that episode so RAYOR. |

Mighty Boosh , Mighty Boosh, Mighty Boosh -Maybe a little too surreal for non Brits but then I'm probably just being condescending. Really Boosh is great, secodn series on just fantastic. By far best things around at the moment.
All of Partridge is unimissable - Knowing Me Knowing You, Im Alan Partridge one and two
Spaced
League of Gentlemen
Father Ted-Irish, not British but still great
Peep Show
'Fist of Fun' and 'This Morning With Richard not Judy' are dynamite funny but mostly forgotten
