One of the things I've noticed is that the mods don't seem to post here, or perhaps have socks and don't post as themselves.

On zcult the mods flood the board.

WhoTF are you?? For somebody registered in 2003, you surely kept mum.

P.S. VanIslander is definitely a mod sock. Same with Scotticus...

It's like that photograph in Back To The Future; we are slowly de-existing.

I haven't been around here much lately, but I've just noticed the disappearing sig. How else can I now shamelessly plug my photosteam?

Utterly absurd. Perhaps a mod explanation is in order.

Perhaps its just inevitable , the harsh realities of becoming your 9th grade English teacher are so prevalent there is just no escaping it.. Fact is this site will become as stale as your history teachers smoking jacket!
Maybe there is no controlling it... Maybe the life of a teacher means stale and boring!!

O Captain my Captain. Carpe Diem, seize the day even john Keating dressed like a boring history professor! Like I said... Maybe this site is being run by aspiring boring history teachers who dont like to go with the times! apart from his clothes he was an exception and if he owned or modded this site. He wouldnt be running it with nolan(boring) attitudes.

Not allowing sigs is a admin only privilege.

SO, either the mods asked Sperling to do it because of all of the "Poster X that I just spent five pages arguing with is a big poopy-head"/ huge picture sigs floating around.

OR, Sperling decided that us using his board as free advertising was a no-no and shut them down.

And yet people can still use monster-sized avatars.

Update on this. Dave has has decided to disable all sigs, due to many users frequently using their sig content to further taunt or harrass others that they get into flame wars with. Contrary to the resident conspiracy theories, it had nothing to do with people linking to other sites (For those who follow history here, you'd know that if that was the reason, he'd have disabled all sigs 2 years ago, when other upstart Korea forums began sig linking, en masse.).

Whether sigs remain disabled for the long-term, is his call. But its certainly here for the short-term.

Demophobe can't create anymore 5 point "my hit list of Dave's atheists god needs to kill" sigs? Pity.
