| So who decides which words deserve a *beep* in this forum? By chance, I just typed the words poof, f-ag, and qu-eer in another thread, and the 2nd two were censored while the 1st was not. Any ideas why? I realize that all 3 can be pejoratives, but all 3 have non-pejorative meanings as well. Maybe the policy is explained elsewhere, but I'm not taking the time to read right now and am more interested in what you users of the forum think. |

| The moderators unsurprisingly don't like it when you use fancy tricks to dodge the swear filter. The way I see it, having a swear filter means that everyone has free licence to say anything else that is not blocked by the swear filter. So, for instance, I could talk about felching Jello out of a nun's ass and since none of the words are bleeped, it's A-OK. |
