Medic,
Shopaholic is very common, not just in Korea, to refer to someone (or oneself) who loves shopping and probably does it a bit too much.
Loveholic is the name of a popular band and song in Korea and the term seems to have been picked up in regular usage |

| Zed, very possible and if the case, my apologies for not being up on the current vernacular. I hadn't heard it before the band. |

I like the word 'skinship'. If out in the bar and getting on well enough with a girl to have your arm around her Koreans may comment that 'skinship is good'. This is creative!
I don't like Konglish words that are just English words with the meaning changed e.g. 'cunning' meaning 'cheating', or 'lost my mind' meaning 'so drunk I can't remember what happened'. Try to explain stuff like this to Koreans: just like beating your head against a brick wall.

Weird. I find myself agreeing with the konglish definition as often as not....

I learned another good one from my students. A male Korean flasher is an "Adam". I wasn't able to get around to asking them what a female flasher is. Maybe she's an "Eve".

One of my Korean students said, " I am going to happify my life."
Happify is cool word.
Happify your life! |
