Hi all,

I remember reading a post about a month ago on this topic, but the search function won't work for me at all.....

Does anybody have the lowdown on what's going on with international transfers? The only information I have (and it's probably not all that reliable) is that from now on, you must have a document stating exactly what you've earned and how much tax you've paid to date before you can send any money home. Apparently it's called a Certificate of Payment, and it's different to a payslip.

Does this mean you have to get a new certificate every month? Is there a specific format?

If anyone has any info, I'd be much obliged.

Cheers

I sent money home the other day with no problems whatsoever. Did not ask me for any documentation nor stamp my passport. Strangely enough, the last contract I had shown them expired last June.

Thanks Oigirl....

From what I'd been told, I thought it was going to be a new, across-the-board procedure, but hopefully not.

Anyone else????

I sent money home at the beginning of November and my bank told me I needed to provide some sort of form I think he said verifying employment. I told him I'd never needed one before, and I didn't have one, but I gave him my school's phone number so they could call and get something faxed if they wanted to. Then he went ahead and processed it like usual.

Can you resize it please. Even on my large monitor it's taking up too much space.

You only need 1 certificate. Even Koreans understand that your pay and tax is constant and proprtional. Don't worry about the format, it is presented in Korean for Koreans.

remember also to do transfers, you need your passport.

Thanks Diablo.

You (or any other benevolent soul) wouldn't happen to have the standard format of the certificate handy, would you???

Gonna try and resize my picture now....
