I think I may have met you once at a mutual friend's house (or maybe not) in Gunpo...

You seemed nice back then. Don't let Korea (or this board) change you.

Anyways, on topic:

Do they still have problems with foreigners using Korean credit cards? Last time (yes, a long while ago) I tried to use Gmarket, I ran into the problem where if you registered as a foreigner, you could only use foreign credit cards and not ones that were Korean issue (bizarre, huh?).

I have no problems on Auction with anything.

tzechuk,

While you may have known about this information, there are certainly many new comers to Korea who didn't know. I think my wife was simply trying to spread some helpful information that we have learned over the 5 years of being here. It is not always easy to get the information you want, and it isn't like this issue has been brought up a plethora of times. Her remark wasn't aimed directly at you, but perhaps the fact that the following 2 posts after hers were negative, more so newbie's. And by the way, not everyone prescribes to the idea the NASA landed men on the moon. Wink Oh, my poor Leafs, when will they have a winning season. Crying or Very sad

Our sources at SNL Weekend Update are reporting:

Generalissimo Francisco Franco also known as Francisco Paulino Hermenegildo Tedulo Franco y Bahamonde Salgado Pardo is dead.

"Hateful"?? Laughing Laughing

It's a sad, sad world when some good old fashioned ribbing gets interpreted as hateful.... Some of you need to relax a bit. The way the message was written "... has an English site now" definitely called for a little teasing. I would have said the exact same thing if it were my mom giving me the same message.

Apologies if I made anyone cry... and it definitely sounds like "fancy tigger" may have shed a tear or two.

So, certainly you can see why a Leafs' fan is full of piss and vinegar. Wink

Thank you to all those posters who backed me up.

Yes, I use the word "hateful" loosely, I'm sorry. No hard feelings.

BTW, I did not just arrive here in Korea. I've been here for 5 years. I have known about the GMarket English website but I have friends who have complained that the GMarket English site didn't have much to offer and I happened to find a solution. I just wanted to be helpful.

On a lighter note, I hope you all have a happy new year!

maybe he was trying to say that it may be a good idea to do a search and see if the information is already posted preiviously...

It is nice to offer ideas but perhaps checking if it is already discussed previously will save you being flamed Smile

Interestingly, your first example shows "polonius" telling someone how to do it. Isn't that kimbabworld's spouse? Wink
