That arm bar was on tight. It looks really painful. Plus, if it was fixed, Choi would have got caught in the first arm bar.
The second arm bar was on good and proper. Look at the re-play. Choi's arm is hyper extended. |

The "special rule" - announced a couple days before the fight - barring any knee strikes at all took away Choi's best offensive weapon.
I think that he would have had a good chance to catch the on-rushing Fedor with a big knee that would have really messed up his face - if not completely decapitate him ...  |
