i went to the dentist and the xray said i have no problems then he looked at my teeth and said two of my fillings have fallen out (i was just at the dentist back home 5 months ago so don't know how two managed to magically fall out). don't know if i should trust them or not :/

You went to one dentist, disagree with his assessment (which does sound inaccurate, for what it's worth), and are now content to question the honesty of all dentists in Korea?

I would suggest using the search function and looking for dentists that come recommended by other members here. There ought to be at least one, especially if you're in the greater Seoul area.

Buffy, long time no see. Get on Gmail chat, will ya?

I like my dentist here in Anyang. He seems nice, speaks English OK, and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I also like my GP around the corner and my Chinese medical dude across the sidewalk from the dentist. Smile

Not all Korean doctors are evil.

Dr. Byung Hak Che of New Yok Dental Office

NYU trained dentist in the biztel building right outside of exit 5 at Sinyongsan.

TEL: 82-2-2077-1477

Expensive, but good and he speaks English.

Crown = 500,000-550,000
Cleaning = 60,000
Cavaties = 200-250,000 each

I got my two crowns done there cuz I didn't want to *beep* around with that procedure, but the prices are steep. I also had some cavaties and my dentist (much closer to home) is only charging me 88,000 for two white colored fillings.

I had a dentist here once lie to me when he told me I had a cavity. I've never had a cavity in my life, so I didn't believe him. He said come back in 3 months if it starts hurting. hahaha...I went to my dentist back in he states after that, and verything was fine. Don't go to Dr. Choi in the Volvo building in Hannam. He's a con artist!!!

Wow, thanks Rolling Eyes.

Here's one from you:

Jay-shi's mistake

What's worse: punctuation or spelling mistakes on an internet forum? Laughing

Oh, and it only took me 5 posts to find one...hmm.

Edit: punctuation over grammar: thanks JS Wink

Dentists here are very hit and miss. After a few attempts I found a good one. Do a search for janhanpyeong and you should find more information.

He pulled all my wisdom teeth for 20k and gave me porcelin fillings for 50k he's well used to foreigners and no one has ever had any complaints about him.

Jay-shi's grammatical mistake

Ok, sorry...

I don't mean to be a spelling nazi. But, it came up twice in your post, so you obviously don't know how to spell cavity or in the plural form cavities. No harm done, I apologize for bringing it up.

If you're going to dig up my past posts looking for grammar mistakes (in this case it would be a punctuation error) ... good luck, they are few and far between.

Peace

JC

ps. You are getting ripped off by your dentist.

OK:

Why put a prepositional phrase in parentheses

Why seperate the subject from the verb with a comma

Hmm, few and far between you say... Very Happy

EDIT: HTML Smile

Hi buffygrrl1,

Sorry to have hijacked your thread. icnelly and I PM'd each other and it's all good.

The most important thing is that I hope you find the info you need and get those pearly whites better again.

Bump.
