I was just reading past candidates results in Iowa.

If I remember correctly, Clinton only had around 3% in Iowa in 1992. Don't know when it was he got highly recognized through the process. I remember he started as an unknown.

New Hampshire was when he started gaining publicity. The reason Clinton did so poorly in IA is he didn't put any effort into it; one of Iowa's Senators was running (Harkin?) so the rest of the democrats ignored the state that year.

My favorite radio talk show host as well. That would be an interesting interview.

Who is Ed Schultz behind in these primaries/caucauses anyways?

It's very possible Iowa won't be first after this election. Or will be among a few other states that go on the same day. The caucus system is why Iowa goes first, and perhaps if that first go goes so will caucusing. That would be positive.

My second choice is going to be Biden. The place I'm caucusing will be interesting. There are a lot of fire fighters who live in this neighborhood, and some reason the firefighters have endorsed Dodd. Dodd may actually get a delegate here, which might burn my chances of supporting either Obama or Biden. Chris Dodd can blow me.

I definetely don't get the Dodd appeal. What do they like about him? I don't dislike him either, I just never saw anything either way compared to the many other candidates in the Democratic Party in particular.

I'm mystified by those two sentences. Could you explain how it works in a caucus?

Easy. Clinton will make people show up to the caucus who otherwise wouldn't.
Romney will pay people to show up. He did it once before, when he paid people to show up at the Rethugican straw poll a few months back. I think that's the one that Huck got 2nd place in.

I'm gonna say Huckabee as #1, with a surprise of Ron Paul in #2 (just to shake everything up), with Romney #3. (I think NH will see Huckabee performing much worse however).

Dems, it'll narrowly be Clinton just over Obama. Edwards will be a close 3rd (but Edwards will slide downwards in NH and onwards from there).

My guesses anyways.

I haven't heard him for a few weeks, but I believe he was favoring Edwards.

You can hear him on one of those Air America station feeds; run a search at Shoutcast and you might be able to find the feed.

I'm not staying up until 5am to hear it; so I'm gonna streamrip it and listen to it in the morning. If anybody wants to hear it, post here and I'll report back with a sendspace link.

The caucuses will begin at 7pm Iowa time Thursday evening; by my calculations, that is 10am Friday here in Korea.

The caucuses take 2-3 hours, but the results will begin to come in around 11am our time.

I can see him liking both Edwards and Ron Paul.

I'd click on that sendspace link if you post it here later.

Ron Paul Interview. Part 1. Look for it at the 70 minute mark. It gets cut off at the end 82nd minute

The interview starts up in Part 2, after the 3 minute mark. The call in talk shows take over after minute 21.

Last minute opining is hilarious. Fox has completely geared up the caucus like no other. At 6:30pm CST they had a bumper going that said "Iowa Caucus just hours away." WTF? Shouldn't that be Iowa caucus just over a day away?

My favorite was an email from Michael Moore saying who he supports...

http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/message/index.php?id=220

Contrasted with Bill O'reilly coming out hard against Edwards.

Thing is, it's kind of hard to believe that Edwards, a rich lawyer, would really take on the rich. And I can't believe, short of a class war, or some sort of outlawing of wealth a la Ayn Rand's greatest fear, that it would really make a difference.

It looks like for the Republicans:

1st Huckabee

2nd Romney

3rd Thompson or McCain

I'm going to do a thread post on my caucus experience. See "True Tales of an Iowa Caucuser."

Gobama!

If he holds onto a 36%+ finish there and Hil is in 3rd, then he'll hopefully get the media bounce he needs to lead NH and easily in SC. Then it's all over.
