Is it illegal? Or does it have to be packaged in a specific way?
I tried to send a soda-sized bottle to a friend back in the States, and when the lady at the post office saw it, she more or less told me "No way, Jose". I had just walked in with a bag of stuff.
Is it possible to send it if I put it into a box before I go to the post office, or is it just flat illegal? |

I sent some of those tetra pack ones via mail and no one objected You know the ones that come in the rectangular boxes that look like fruit juice? |

I've sent home those small plastic bottles a bunch of times...
They were always in a box so the post office people didn't have a chance to object I guess... |

i sent 4 glass bottles of it back home. Cost around 30,000 won to ship though, not exactly cheap. I boxed it up before I went to the post office. Don't remember what I filled out on the form for content. Maybe I wrote soju but not sure. |

Mitty-Thanks for that info. Kinda bites.
posco's trumpet-I have a friend back home who likes pouring alcoholic things down his throat. He seemed rather indifferent to soju, so I offered to send him a big bottle. He was down with this. |

If you want to send "stuff" that you don't want the authorities to detect, then, put some ground coffee in the parcel. All the drug dogs can't sniff anything over the smell of coffee. |

For Canadians, sending alcohol home via mail is illegal. Twice, when I was in Japan, I sent sake home. The first time, it went through. The second time, it was detected & confiscated, and a warning note was sent out by Canada Customs telling me not to try it again. |

If that were true I think all the drug lords world over would be using that one. |
