Hi,
I was in the Daegu Costco about a month ago and they had a great deal on a Viewsonic 22 inch monitor. I was going to buy it and bring it to Canada (as the price was much higher there), but I passed.

If anyone is going to any of the costco branches, I'd love a headsup as to what it's going for now.

Particularly, I'd like to know what the Costco in Daegu is selling it for.

Thanks. I appreciate your help.

Will it work in Canada? That's a better question...

That shouldn't be a problem. All monitors I have encountered are 'free voltage' meaning they'll operate from 100-240V. Also, you only need to change out the power cord (i.e. to a 110V cord) which is just a matter or unplugging one and inserting the other. Very easy.

I just wish TV's were that easy.

If you call the Costco store in Sangbong (Seoul) there's a guy who speaks English (quite well) . I don't know his name unfortunately. The number is 02-439-1144. When you call, there will be korean recording. Press #2-that will put you into the English version. Then press#2 again for membership. Then when someone picks up, ask if they speak English. If they don't, they'll put this guy on. If it doesn't work, try another day cause he may not be working that day.

and all Costco stores in Korea have the same prices so you'll pay the same here as you would in Daegu.

I have the exact same monitor. I bought it 3 months ago for 249,000. I think it is still the same price. Also, there is a version with a built-in webcam. I saw it in Sangbong Costco last week at 289,000.

Thanks for the replies. To the guy who has the monitor, what do you think of it. 249,000 is a great price for a 22 inch monitor. Does this model have USB ports on it. Other good/bad features?

Thanks again. I may go to the Daegu branch on my way through as I live in Busan and am driving up to Incheon on our way out.

No USB ports but it is a crisp HD output with nice colours. I have no complaints.
