Who watches Korean dramas?

Wednesdays and Thursdays, there's SBS's 불한당 (Bool Han Dang or Robbers) or KBS's 홍길동 (Hong Gil Dong) or MBC's 뉴하트 (New Heart). Anyone watch any of these?

There's a younger woman who likes this guy and the guy kind of likes her but he's too involved looking gay but acting tough to sort through his feelings and she's too busy not ever cracking a smile to admit it to herself. Meanwhile, one of them has a mother that doesn't understand anything and is domineering while the other has either one parent or two poor parents. They'll talk, cry, and look serious (but never laugh) for twelve to twenty episodes until the catalyst (involving alcohol and awkwardness) when they sleep together with the subsequent understanding of marriage.

The plots are so predictable. The chartacters all make the same facial expressions too.

Not bad, but your forgot to cover the whole "love triangle" thing. Rich guy digs poor girl, but rich guy's family want him to hook up with stuck up rich girl. Rich girl humiliates poor girl... Rich boy drinks soju, falls over and realizes he loves the poor girl.

That's the SBS drama style. I was going over KBS and MBC styles.

I can't believe you two vets forgot the most important part: The almost-constant yelling. Gotta have copious amounts of shouting.

Ah yes. I guess I should have also mentioned that somebody will have a stroke and end up in the hospital.

When I lived in Korea before each drama came with a guaranteed gangster beating somewhere along the lines. This has now changed to someone being certain to get hit by a car.

I was watching 인순이는 예쁘다 (In-Soon is Pretty) and 못된 사랑 (Bad Love) but the awesome girl's (that was subbing them) account got canceled Crying or Very sad

I have a Clubbox account that was opened for me by a Korean American neighbor, but I honestly don't know how to navigate it. I hate downloading anything, I'm lazy and opt for streaming sites like http://www.mysoju.com.

The weekday dramas are okay but the weekend dramas are tortuous Evil or Very Mad ...

They drag stories out for months, which could be finished in a couple of weeks. I could quote a few examples but I'll just give one. Is anyone watching that Vietnam story (환금 신부)? It just goes on and on and on. It's making me lose the will to live but having followed it this far it's hard not to follow it through to the bitter end.

며느리 시대 (KBS) is the exception to the weekend rule. It is light-hearted fun on Saturday and Sunday nights. It probably wouldn't take everyone's fancy but I like it Smile
