Hey, I live in the Pyeonchon-Anyang area. I've been in Korea for about ten months and I've been dating a Korean girl for about six of those months. We've been on quite a few dates so far. Therein lies the problem.
We've been spending an increasingly large amount of time together and realized that we've done everything there is to do in Anyang. We've been to the restaurants, walked in the parks (too cold now) and even resorted to Docta-fisheu and DVD Bangs.
I'm all out of ideas. Since I meet her after work generally travelling out of the area isn't really an option.
What is something new/fun we could do for an evening date in the Anyang area? |

| Can't you meet up on weekends and travel out of the city? You're just south of a very large city with lots of places to explore. |

We do on the weekends, we've seen the entire country.
But on the weekdays I get off work at 10:00pm and our dates are generally only a couple hours long. Not enough time to leave the Anyang area. |

What else do you really plan to do? That's barely enough time for the previously mentioned sex and dinner.
And I find it hard to believe you've seen the entire country in only ten months. How many times have you gone to Hwaseong Fortress? What about the Bugok Railroad Museum? What about climbing Gwanak Mountain? |

Hwaseong Fortress: twice, Bugok Railroad Museum: zero, Gwanaksan: about four times.
Also: Busan (three times), Incheon, Jirisan, Daegu, the DMZ, Ilsan, a major rafting site on the East Coast (can't remember the name), Jeju-do for one weekend... and I've spent probably 30 days in Seoul altogether and have been to a couple other historic sites whose names currently escape me. I've climbed about 10 different mountains.
I lead a busy life. Maybe I haven't seen all of Korea, but I sure have seen a lot of it. |

exactly what i was thinking!  seriously though, why don't u try cooking her dinner or just seeing a movie? have u already been to Everland? that would be a nice weekend trip |

| I agree with the girls. Just relax with her. Cook her dinner. Watch some movies, maybe even take an art class together once a week. Plan for a large trip on your next anniversary - go out of country. Even if it's just for the weekend, girls appreciate that kind of stuff. |

Maybe I'll just make her Kraft Dinner tonight. Seriously, she has never had it before, I'll tell her it's a traditional American meal and that it takes days to prepare. |

No kidding! Does every meeting have to be something new and out of the ordinary? It is quite common for people that have been dating as long as the two of you have to actually just spend time together without actually doing much at all, believe it or not. I will only assume that she lives at home still, right? Her home might be out of the question, but is your's? |

I agree with those who suggested finding something quiet and relaxing in town. Maybe picking a local cafe with a good atmosphere and not too many patrons - where you can go and have a nice, long conversation - can be a worthwhile alternative to heading somewhere new. Think of a few questions beforehand so you aren't stuck speechless, but just let her (and yourself) talk about whatever subjects come up. I've done this a couple of times and had the girl tell me that she really enjoyed the experience.
Hope you end up getting some good ideas from this thread! |

They've been dating six months. If I were dating someone six months and still had to script conversations or was afraid of silence...I would dump them. |
