In Gyeonggi Do (Anyang/Gunpo) area
what kind of housing can one get with 10 million key money and 400,000 a month?

A friend of mine just did exactly that. You can get a pretty decent place with a loft on one of the higher floors in a prefab building. You don't get a huge amount of floor space, but assuming you'll be living by yourself it should be more than enough (and the loft really compensates).
You can also get a really nice villa for 10mil, but I wouldn't trust a smalltime villa landlord with my 10mil key money. You're better off in a privately owned building. |

Well...10 and 4 is what city hall has offered to give me. It's their money so I'm not too worried about the money and who the owner is.
I just have no idea if this will cover a decent place or not. |

It definitely will. 5 million might not, but 10 will for sure. Anyang / Gunpo is not Kangnam  |

You'll probably find something, but nothing fantastic. A buddy of mine put down 40MIL and he's also paying 400,000w a month for a nice place in Ansan - and that's not even in Seoul.
Go into any bu-dong-san and ask to see a place for your price range. You'll soon find out what you're looking at, ballpark. |
