My friend is an F4 visa holder. Our boss just told her that because she is an F4 she can not get her pension refund.
This sounds like BS to me.
Anyone know the rules about this? |

| Don't know the rule for F4, but my hagwon told me that since I was Canadian I couldn't. I knew jack shit when I came here, so I just said that it sounds right, don't pay it. See ya $2000. Hagwons are known to lie. |

Definitely B.S. I know a lot of F4 holders who contributed AND received their pension payments (plus employer's contribution) when they went back to Canada/U.S.
Pension benefits are not only for teachers but for any Canadian/American legally working in Korea. |
