Look, I'm not even the biggest fan of this guy's posts, but why has his OP (about what Korean gov./employers need to be told) been deleted yet again?

Far more inflammatory threads have been started here!

This is pure speculation, but I don't think the mods see every post that goes up here. So someone may have flagged it for review ("reported it"), and the mods saw it and canned it.

He was suggesting that we should have the right to change jobs if we wished instead of taking a gamble and being owned for a year.

Some people who see this site would like to have the right to cancel their contracts and get new jobs if their current ones aren't working out.

Some would like to own foreigners for a year.

Guess who pays Mr Sperling's bills?

So you're implying that D. Sperling is "on the take" with the Korean employers?

Do they even read this board?

I guess it's possible little Ms. Kim Ai Suk Agent does, but seriously, do they have so much pull with the mods that they can get posts deleted?

I hope "The Dude" comes to the resuce and explains the real reason for the post deletion, rather than let it get into this nebulous area of ESL Cafe/Korean Hagwon owner conspiracy theories.

I personally didn't see anything in that post that was a violation of the board conduct rules though.

Oh well, the mods "owned" him again.

His site makes money from Koreans advertising on it. Of course he's 'on the take'. And yes, some of them read it.

Thanks for pointing that out Capt. Obvious, and no &$^# I understand who pays for advertising on this site. but I think it's a real stretch to assume that there's some kind of political underpinning to the post deletion.

Your desription conjures up the image of little Ms. Kim Ai Suk sending a PM directly to Dave, and in 10 minutes he's got his finger on the delete button.

You should know by now, the MIB are the ones who REALLY control this site.

I wrote a post about the next US ambassador being an ex-esl teacher and that got pulled and it was a very productive thread

I think the MODs also need some oversight
They seem to be very personal and bias in their selection to pull things off the forum.

Yay Korea!

Mods, please bring back the Don't Do It Boys! thread and make it a sticky.

Thank you!
