My wife is Thai and I finally got a Thai/English keyboard. I am running XP Pro sp2 on her com. What do I need to download/do for the system to make it so it's switchable between Thai and English?
Thank you in advance for your kind solutions! |

From the control panel:
date,time,language and regional options
add other languages
tab-languages
check the box to install files for complex script and right to left languages including Thai.
insert the CD and install. |

Ok did that but still don't see any way to switch between the languages e.g. tab w/ en and th choice? Maybe some confusion here...I want the ability to "type" in Thai not just read it. Like here in Korea many coms have that tab next to the tray which switches the typed language between English and Hanguk. |

Do you have the floating language bar? If you have it, you can enable your own keyboard shortcut to switch the keyboard. If you don't have the language bar, I can give you the directions for it, but it will have to wait. My PC is back at my apartment. I know the directions are on the MS support forum. When I get home tonight, if you haven't found the instructions, I'll post how I did it. |

Did the interface turn into Thai in the end?
You will need to install the east asian langauge pack.
The Thai keyboard option as as we.. - Somewhere in Global settings.
You will have a US and a Thai keyboard installed. |

Don't look at the keyboards! Put the cutouts somewhere and practice so you can touch-type. Even after two years in the same school, the teachers and other staff here are stunned I touch-type in Korean on my American computer. |
