Arirang just advanced the old canard about Korea and seasons. The host states "not many nations have four distinct seasons like Korea!" How about all of them except for those in the tropics?
Oish. Look, Canadians aren't all running around telling each other there's something special about Canada because the Congo doesn't have 4 seasons. Geez.
Ever mention to a Korean that, like, your nation has four seasons and then they argue back "well, only Korea has 4 seasons of equal length" or some such quibbling. |
Only Korea decides ahead of time which days will be the hottest days of the year and marks them on the calendar, too... (Actually, maybe other Asian countries do that, too, gotta know when to kill the dog...) |

Privates are illegal.
There is no money to be made from privates. |

Thaks for that, you know I appreciate it, but you got the order wrong.
There is no money to be made doing privates.
Privates are illegal.
You are welcome.
mods, please bring back the "Don't Do it, Boys!" thread and make it a sticky as it's damn near vital to living in Korea for those of the heterosexual male persuasion.
Thanks. |

arirang TV promotes Korean culture overseas, or tries to. It also is a way for Koreans to learn English. If you're an extremist anti-Korean like mindmetoo then you're going to spend an inordinate amount of time obsessing over everything that gets on there, like the "onion" e.g. in the OP.
This would be like someone nitpicking over everything that gets broadcast over VOA voice of America. |
